Mmmmmm, breakfast. :)

To answer some questions... :)

The lumpy, brown thing is a most delicious apple fritter. Very sweet and very tasty.

And the photo in the background is by photographer Tony Casper. I have a series of 4 of them around the kitchen underneath the cabinets. They are of beautiful windows and doorways. That particular one is called Swiss Lace due the curtains hanging in the window. :)

And , in case you missed it the first time around, apple fritters are yummy!

Beautiful tones, perfect lighting, yummy treat and yummy image! I like the fruit bowl in the back, gives the feel that this is real food in a real kitchen, not just a setup shot of coffee and fritter :-)

Very peaceful feeling. Much like an early morning is peaceful, not that I know from personal experience, though. :)

Not only does this look yummy, but the lighting and dof are superb. A lot of my fav photographers make everyday things look interesting, and I believe you've accomplished that here. Nice job!

Nice lighting, looks like a peaceful and pleasant kitchen (so unlike my own). I'm sure the fritters were delicious, but my first impression was that they look a bit gristly. :-p

Yup, that just how I like my sugar too. Gorgeous shot, makes me want a cup of coffee and a brown lumpy thing :)) We don't really do apple fritters here ..... now if ya wanna talk banana fritters that's a whole other story.

Sadly no, not everyday. 3 days a week I drop my oldest off at preschool after which my younger one and I head off to pick up a donut. Usually, I grab a Starbucks as well but opted for homebrewed this morning. It's a good thing school is only 3 days a week. :)

Nice use of natural light. Makes the plate under the fritter glow.

It looks like a sugary pastry of some sort....is it? If it is, I'll join you! I really like this photo, especially the background with the print on the wall and the bowl of fruit on the counter. Very homey yet elegant.

Heh, you have that I have toast. This is terrific. I like the touch of softness and the DOF. Your counter is cleaner than mine HA

Simple, elegant set up. Great light on your subject - looks like natural morning light. I like the soft feeling created with your dof. I take my sugar the same way.

That looks like one yummy breakfast. Your title is very funny. The items in the background and the shadows really add to your picture. It certainly feels like home.
