These apples are from trees belonging to a friend that was also my neighbor for 9 years. He passed away from a rare lung cancer last winter. His family gave me these beautiful apples and I thought I would photograph them in his memory. Still missing your smile Jim.

Beautiful image created with love. The close crop works so well and the red apples on opposite corners make a lovely contrast for the center apples.

Ohhhhhh, what a sad story! I was thinking how fresh the photograph looked, and how much I LOVE "in-your-face" larger than life compositions, but it makes my heart hurt to think of the family going on with normal life. What a beautiful tribute to Jim. I bet they would enjoy a print of this. It's beautiful.
