Challenge: Letting Go (Basic Editing I)
Camera: Panasonic DMC-LC20
Location: My Hallway

Shutter: 1/8 sec.

I thought this one up pretty late in the challenge. I set up a background in my hallway and did it all in about an hour. Post editing was a little cropping, addition of a sepia tone and sharpening. I'm not sure if this will fit the challenge, but to me it was the ultimate in letting go.

I guess we'll see how it goes over...

Nice image, lighting supports the emotions depicted. I know it's odd but I find the hairy chest somewhat distracting/ offputting (I know I know it's a personal preference) but I wonder if choosing a less revealing top would allow the other weirdos like me to focus more on the face and letter? Does this get weirdest comment award or what?

Very intense and emotional shot. Nice choice of B&W, creates the mood for the picture.

Composition is pretty good. I don't like the brightness on the hand, and it has a kind of pinkish tone, which I don't care for. I think I would have prefered simple black and white. Fits the challenge.

The letter is a great touch. Nice expression, a bit blurred, though. 6

Nice, capture, and I understanding the meaning behind this photo, he lacks sharpness in the face, and more importantly the eyes.
