This is a hallway of the high school where I have a college night class on Wednesdays. (It's also the high school I attended.) The building was built in the 1930's. This hallway is not nearly as ominous as it looks in this picture, although there were days in the late 80's and early 90's when it certainly felt this ominous to me. I did have an exam tonight, but it wasn't one I was worried about. :) I just have always meant to photograph this hall, with the shiny reflective floor and vanishing-point perspective.

The shot is grainy because I had to use ISO800 (no tripod). Sometime I'll try it again with a tripod and my 19mm lens.

This picture shows the age of the building nicely. I like how the picture leads to a nice bright doorway after "going" through a dark and kind of gloomy hallway.

Ohhhhh how many memories this brings back. It must have really feel like da ja vu the first time you walked in to take a class.

Man that looks depressing. I sure am glad I don't go to school anymore, though the highschool I attended the longest was pretty cool with lots of windows.

Great shot. Very atmospheric.

This really reminds me of my high school hallway. Those tall dark ceilings and highly polished floors. It would be interesting to see this from a different perspective - like from the floor level, or holding the camera up at arms length. Maybe I'll have to try that out.

I'm struck by all of the sharp angles and geometrics in this image...The framed pictures on the walls, the windows and doors, the lights above, the exit sign... They all work together to form a very cohesive composition.

I actually like the grain it adds to the photo
