This shot brings a tear to my eye. The last time we saw my wifes grandma alive was at a home probably very similar to the one here. My wife was so disturbed by the fact that gramma didn't know where she was and kept asking Ronda the same question over and over again that we never went back. That bothered me for a very long time after we lost her...
Wiping my eyes so I can see to hit post... |

You've managed to capture an emotion and as a result, I called my mom the minute I saw this photo. Great use of B&W , fits the challenge, and I like the composition. It's cropped a little tight but that's just knitpicking. SCORE: 8 Well done and good luck! |

I used to work in a seniors home and you really captured the essence of the experience for some elderly people. This is a really provocative capture and my favorite for this challenge. |

Would fit into a 'holding on' theme much better. |

the emotion is so raw in this image. A very beautiful moment you have captured. Compositonally sound, technically ok but lacking in lighting, sharpness and detail -9 |

Excellent submission. I'm not sure if the disembodied hands are intriguing, or annoying, but I'm leaning toward annoying. There's too much of the body to not have a head as well, IMO. Still, the best of the challenge so far, but I havent' seen that many pix yet. |

Sometimes its a very sad and painful transition. I think your image could use a tad more contrast. |
