I like it to, and normally am ont a fan of selective desaturation. Would be interesting if the the res of the scene was only slightly saturated with the leaves in full color. good use of backlighting for detail. |

I'm one of those people who think selective desaturation is overdone and rarely done well. :P This is an exception though (on first viewing it didn't occur to me, so it's understated execution is nice). The shadows you've seen are really lovely - soft and jumbled in front, harder amongst the leaves, and fading quickly to black in back. Pretty.

Color or no color, the light come down on the leaf is pretty magical. |
