 One of my favorite animal subjects: the prairie dogs at the National Zoo. They are endlessly entertaining. He refused to take the hay, since he was on guard duty, and she turned around and ate it herself.

Had the 1.4x teleconverter on; focal lenbgth of this shot was 320mm.

PP - converted from RAW, cropped, increased contrast, USM, despeckle, added border, resized, sharpened with noise reduction.

Very cute little varmints. The focus seems a little soft. Using the Unsharp Mask filter might help bring out the highlights in their fur too -- just a suggestion though.
