That one of my dog's just outside in the hallway.

Kind of a side take from the 30 day Lighting Challenge.

Not much going on here. Probably a bit too much emptiness on the bottom, but I think it gives the photo some longer depth. Not staged.

Post was pretty minor. Some enhancing of the dog's head shadow and some sharpening. All done in Capture NX.

This one will be low scoring, I am fairly certain. Not sure if people will realize that it is a dog's head. 4.8 range...

LOL, I couldn't spell the title correctly.

I was a 7. I didn't go back to bump anything up because I was kinda disappointed with the challenge as a whole. but your shot is good.

Thats a dog? Thought it was a dude in one of those yellow fishermans hats stalking a kid, my mind went wild with your image, think thats a good thing. I enjoyed it.

So, what's a seach? hehe just kidding. Fun idea, nice use of a shadow. Looks almost like an animal shadow.

I like the vast majority of the image, but your main shadow fun somehow instantly reminds me of Spy vs. Spy. not necessarily a bad thing, but at least wanted to let you know what your image brings to mind at first glance for me.

I quite like the composition, and the lighting is very strong as well. The shadow is a little obscure.

Wonderful lightplay from soft grain to hard contrasts.
The arrow-like silhouette entering both image and the (depicted) room does so as softly as it provides the dominant point of interest. The light cast forward into the dark echoes the geometry without completely defining it. This palliates the ample negative space of the foreground, making it easy to explore and pleasurable to come up empty.

The sharp diagonal stemming into the top right of the image anchors it strongly and without any ambiguities.

This is a quiet capture with an intriguing composition balancing spatial geometries and artifice against incidental ones. The looming, hood-like silhouette, however, provides a little domestic "noire" and just enough humour to laugh at the accomplishment and the trivia of the unknown - delightful!

Well I am middle ground on this one. I think that it is a good photo mainly because of the clairity and I am a sucker for black and whites. But, I see your title and I am confused as to how this is searching. I'm going to have to give this a lower score because I don't see how it fits this challenge. Sorry.

A little eerie. Good.

the main subject being positioned mostly out of the image is very distracting, also I probably would have cropped a lot of the dead zone out of the bottom of the image.

It's really nice, good atmosphere. I think it would be even nicer if the shadow "walking in" was more visible though.
