Subject matter is lacking, I know, but it was taken to show a comparison of natural light and the differences in the time of day. The top shot was taken just after midday, sun obviously overhead, bright, and a bit to the right. in the bottom shot, it was getting close to sunset, sun was over my right shoulder and a bit behind me. Both shots were processed similarly with similar settings, though the levels varied a bit. The interesting thing to me is the difference in sharpness/softness due primarily to the light (though the top was shot at 7.1 and the bottom at 5.6 as far as aperture settings.)

Just keep shooting (with the camera, of course) Deb. We all are enjoying the slice of life. Stay safe, hurry outta there.

Cool... plants at the beach, i had no idea! hehe

I like how you showed a comparison of sunlight and used the plant as your focus. It's also interesting to see the difference in the sky as well as the light on the piles of pods.

Nice glimpse into the effect time of day has on one's subject. A good lesson.

this really shows how the time of day impacts a photo, the bottom one is sooooo much more interesting with the longer shadows.

Somebody drove in some heavy machinery too. ;~D

I love that you are exploring what you call your "boring" world. It gives us a glimpse of the desolation in the Middle East. Not only literally but figuratively as well.

Be safe.

I actually like the top one best. More contrast, more shadow. Cool experiment.
