The contrast between these two photos struck me as I was moving them from my memory card -- it reminded me of the fable of the ant and the grasshopper. On the left you have my son, age eleven, driving my dad's yard tractor on the way to the woodshed, towing a load of wood he'd just helped to stack in the trailer. Meanwhile, on the right you see my daughter, newly turned eight and also newly ear-pierced and hair-cut, hard at play. (I will not tell you how many times I have nearly tried to actually reach into the picture to dust off her bottom; she'd already met with a minor disaster once.)

Never fear: the ant's parents will make sure that he shares with his grasshopperish sister this winter. :)

Love the difference in the activities going on in each picture. The colors are absolutely wonderful, especially the umbrella.

These two shots definitely go well together, I like your choice of title too.

So, so cute and the backstory makes it even more so. She just looks soooo happy. Even from behind, I can feel her joy of life.

This is truly a wonderful piece of work. The contrast is excellent and the layout is perfect. All the elements work together. This is one of those rare occasions where the title does not force it's way into a shot, but rather makes you say: "Aha, I get it."

Very nice.

Still waiting on a picture of the house though..
