Today was one of those rare October days where it was as warm as mid-summer. And since it's Saturday it was a perfect time to run on the beach. It really amazes me that since it's October there was hardly anybody on the beach. I guess time of year has more to do with it than the actual weather.
Those of you who saw the 50 days will remember several pictures from this location.

It's kind of hard to tell what's going on here, but the water is the darker area to the left and sand to the right. I converted from raw, rotated and cropped, and then ran the Gum Dichromate action. It turned out OK, but I think a picture with more stuff in it would work a bit better.

I love the processing on this picture. I wish I had just a fraction of the skill you have when it comes to processing a picture. I remember my mom looking through old pictures of my grandmothers and seeing some similar to this with the grain and such. I like the colors you chose and how the shadow from the catwalk falls on the sand. It almost looks like a sidewalk there or something. Fantastic job!

Funky, the photo itself looks sandy like the beach.

Nifty action - I like the way it ages this. And I like the story about the October day when it's warm and there's no one out. Amazing, isn't it?

The sepia's perfect for this. Very nostalgic feel to the image.

What a great effect! You might be right about it looking better with more stuff, but this is very cool too! Thanks very much for the link to the action, can't wait to try it :-)

Just like an old photo in the back of a drawer. Love the subtlety and grain.
