On my first run-through I scored this a 7. On my last, I will say: This is a powerful image which tells a story. That's what photography is all about. Nicely captured.

I'm liking the concept, but the execution could use some work. The pose of the hand seems random and unconsidered. And it just seems like you edited out the background (against rules for this challenge.) Where's the light from the flame? Or any light for that matter? Tis effective, though. :)

I like the duality of this picture but the injury on the wrist brings my eye toward that instead of the picture as a whole.

I think this is a great capture... and I think it fits the challenge well; however, I dont see how the title "In Effigy" relates to the challenge. Still a great photo.

the hand is a bit destracting - too bright - like the idea of the burning picture.

really nice fitting title and i love the way the picture is burning and the flame looks on the black..dont like the position of the hand but honestly cant see what i would have done to make it better either..good luck
