What a shame that this gem was over looked by the masses. The lighting on this is just stunning. I wonder if you were hampered by peoiple with dim monitors. I love how you can barely see the details oof the face on the first soldier and how they get pregressively lighter. Simply put, this is a great shot! |

This photo is not as serious as it looks. Its military regularity is undercut by its fading into darkness. Each one on its own is somber, but together they work against each other, suggest some sort of joke, or maybe just hope. What really makes it quirky and forces me to think is the composition, the way the faces are forced all the way to the left. It's kind of a claustrophobic effect. |

wish there were more light on the first face, it is so dark all I can see is the nose and the lips. |
