 OK - Its friday morning and [user]Simms[/user] is going nuts. Whoever starts these double score threads is crazy but this week has been fun. As of right now I am sitting on a 6.95 and Mark is at 6.98. Neither of us has divulged which challenge we are in but I am pretty sure he is in Fauna as well (vote recieved count is higher in fauna than flora). Lets see how long it takes him to figure it out. I am guessing he will before the challenge is over, but who knows. I hope not.

This was taken at the Columbus Zoo song bird atrium. For som ereason there just werent alot of birds roaming around this time. This little guy posed for me for a couple of shots but not many. Glad he did pose onthis branch. Allowed for a good crop in ROT, good composition and decent bokeh. While not a stunning, wow, artistic type of shot, it is clean, simple and probably hard to find anything really strong to knock. I had hoped for a mid 6 but I can handle where it is right now.

Editing - RAW conversion, levels, selective color, NI, USM, crop, resize and border. Overall just not a whole lot done to it. Maybe top 10? I am gonna need a couple more ribbons to catch up to eyewave.

great shot, fantastic finish, should of scored slightly lower in my opinion, but I am a tad biased and very sore loser.

Seriously though, lovely shot mate and good finish.

This is excellent. I just love these pretty little birds. We have them flying around our house all the time, but they tend to be a little shy.

EXCEPTIONAL... 10++++++ You don't know how much i love this.. Have tried all summer to catch one of these even had bluebird residents and never, never, could get close enuf for a decent shot..
Personally am giving u a RIBBON for 1st place..

not sure about the wide white frame but the image is just lovely. colours are superb, focus is dead on and sharp. I'd sure give it a ribbon..gl 10++
