I take it in Raw format and do regular stuff..light high and contrast, color range and hight the lights again,stauration,and in the end unsharp mask..this time no also or other edit tools :P
hmm i got a problems with shadows...

Well if ever he snaps his claws together he can say one for me! I like the white background, as it shows off his great colours and sharp detail. Lovely image!

i love praying manti, they are just so cool looking. the lighting, color, and composition are quite nice on this pic. good job.

The mantis really stands out against the stark white background. This has to be one of the most fascinating looking insects around. (Along with dragonflies)

This shot looks to posed to me. If you are going to catch the guy and put him on your backdrop at least use a flash and get rid of the shadow. This would have been better nature rather than posed.
