I know it's hard to avoid, but depth of field is just too shallow for me. |

Great colors but definitely needs more DOF ... my first impression is that he's sticking his head through a piece of wax paper. :) |

Now that is a shallow DoF. Seems to be a bit of haloing resulting from your post-process routine. |

this is a bold attempt. I've never attempted Macro photography myself although I understand from various articles I have read that it is extremely difficult to achieve focus. In my honest opinion it is in this aspect that the shot falls short as there is just not enough of the fly in focus. Also the white mark to the bottom left of the fly (not sure what this is?) is slightly distracting. However, I congratulate you on a great effort 7 |
