I think there were a couple of things working against this image getting a higher score. One, it appears to be slightly out of focus. Looking at the center of the flowers, it appears soft. That is one sure-fire way to a lower score. Sharpness rules on DPC. Another more minor thing is the way some flowers are cropped on the edges. it makes the eyes flow right off the frame, as if looking for the rest of the flowers. The diagonal made by the main stem is a positive. If that had been accentuated, it would have made a stronger impact. One last little nit-pick - the background splotch of whiteness on the left middle edge is a little distracting. it doesn't fit well with the rest of the wonderful green bokeh. |

love how you took such a simple flower and made such a good pic out of it. color and bokeh are nice and the dof is great. there does look to be a little noise in the dark parts of the pic though. |
