This is a 6 exposure HDR image made in photomatix. I did a lot of dodging, burning, curving, leveling, sharpening, etc.

I'm actually concerned that I neatimaged a bit too much but with the high ISO setting (which was actually an oversight) the image was too noisy. It removed some of the detail in the water and when I sharpened it caused artifacts. Not ideal for the high resolution version but relatively acceptable at this size I think.

Oohh... I LIKE IT! As for the foreground .. it's okay. What it really needs is a "focal point". Something to fix your eyes on. A person in a red jacket fishing from the shore. Or a sale boat on the horizon. Something that would complete the picture.

Still, it's a beautiful landscape. I love it as is.

And I don't think the foreground is distracting at all. I feel the framing it provides significantly enhances the photo.

I like what you've done here man, good work. I do find the branch in the top left a distraction and i think there is too much on the right that encroaches on the sea and sky. But having said that its certainly a very good picture.

Be proud.

I do have sensor dust, in several places... I usually clone it out but I missed that one.

I like it alot. There is something about it that makes it look tilted even though the horizon is straight. Also appears you have a little sensor dust about 1" from the center of the water.

I like the processing here. It seems like the subject is the bent branch in the center foreground, so maybe if you could brighten that area just a little more, or perhaps darken the green leaves to it's left as they distract a little. Note that I'm not on a calibrated monitor, though. All in all, I like it.
