I like the lighting, color, and DOF in this shot. The composition bothers me. This is the kind of subject where centered works well for me, but I'd rather it was truly centered instead of just a little off to the right. Congrats on your new 5th-best score!

Very well done - there's plenty of detail and texture in the petals - and that's hard to do with white against dark. The dark background is perfect for setting apart the bloom. I like the centered composition for this, too. (And I just noticed - no 1s,2s, or 3s - that is an accomplishment as well!) |

Very striking - I like the DOF you chose, so that things start to gently fade off at the petal edges. |

Beautiful shot. Usually the bulls eye technique isn't as powerful as a slightly off center layout. The lighting is beautiful and the texture really is strongly shown off. |
