This scored a lot lower than I thought it would. It's a very strong shot as far as having something to say, but it's not "pretty" and probably made some feel uncomfortable. And I don't think that's a bad thing. Technicals did hurt it a bit, too, I suspect - b&w is perfect for it, but it does seem over-sharpened in places.

Very harsh score for such a potent picture.

I'm glad that you went ahead and put this in. It's a shame that it was not better received than this. But you did get some good reaction - and I think that is what really counts.

Actually that's not true. They were answered but just not in the way you wanted them to be answered. As far as the photo goes, to me it is very uninteresting and it looks as if Unsharp Mask has been used excessively.

Powerful emotion - hope this isn't a personal reflection.

My first reaction is that the door on the left should have been cropped out - but you need it for the sign to explain what you are looking into.

Strong shot. Not sure it will score well though. Good luck.

That's really depressing.

Whoa, your title is very powerful. Powerful in 'NOT' a good way. The B/W gives the photo a little extra umph.

PS. I hope you didn't have to experience this first hand. BB

This is quite haunting, especially since I nearly lost my husband earler this year in a set up very similar to this. I cant say that it is an appealing picture to look from an aesthetic point of view but I like your use of B&W and the fact that it has the impact to stir the emotion that you probably intended it to prompt. 6
