 i got to go to a birthday party tonight where the guest of honor (10) wanted to take his friends to the skate park.

i have no sense of balance or coordination, so i stuck to the sidelines.

these guys were quite politely waiting their turn for the half-pipe. they are not 10.

I love skateboarders as photo subjects, but unfortunately they love to careen down the sidewalks where they aren't supposed to be. 8(

Gotta love the colors and the body language.

LOL. Yeah, I was beginning to wonder if that's what kids are like nowadays at 10... I think I'd almost prefer the crop to start below the necklines of their t-shirts, but I do like the headless bit.

Interesting crop -- puts the focus on the boards and shoes and gives it more of an "iconic" quality. Don't sk8 with your camera in your hand! :-)

I would never have thought to cut off the heads, and I LOVE it this way!! Really makes you focus on the skateboards and body language of the kids. Excellent!

A skate park! I don't think we have even one of those in San Antonio. I wish we did because I would LOVE to hang out at one because of the cool photo ops -- both action -- and ones like this that just show the character and personality without even showing individual faces. I love it!
