After our stop at the state park it was off to Rockville, Indiana for the covered bridge festival. In town it's wall-to-wall people, craft booths, food booths, etc.

There are 4 or 5 route to go see the bridges with signs pointing out the bridges since some are off the main road. So it's essentially find a bridge, get out, walk around, take pictures, read graffiti, go to next bridge. It's interesting but after a while they tend to look quite a bit alike. Many bridges are still used, but you can see this one is blocked to prevent use.

Since we stopped at the state park and then lunch and then looked around town we got off to a late start. Most of my bridge shots were taken after dark, this included. It looked fine on the camera lcd, but here not so hot due to uneven lighting. So this edit is simply hiding the flaws. Tonemap & use Nik Efex Old Photo: Color filter.

I really like this!! Has a vintage look & you still kept really nice colors. Could definitely be a postcard.

Amazing how much detail you pulled for something shot after dark. I like how it looks kinda like a faded old slide. Very appropriate processing.

Great job at editing....this is a wonderful image. I love your PP work, it looks like a cover of a CD. Fantastic angle of the bridge, too. Nice!

The bridge picture was taken a while after sunset and was a 13 second exposure. I bracketed exposure for HDR but it looked awful - too much light and dark areas. This was the best looking exposure and I used tonemapping to bring out shadow detail.

I've never seen a covered bridge - in the flesh, at least. I've never been able to figure out why they are covered. Anyway - interesting processing on this photo - and very fitting for the subject.

Excellent editing. Looks like an old bleached out photo yet the red still shines through. I love covered bridges!!!

Nice processing to give this image a suitably old time look.

thats a most unusual bridge .. i dont think i've ever seen one like this except in dpc!!! .... sounds like you had a blast .. i bet some of those bridges would'v made the best photographic subjects .. shame about it being dark .. & tripods can be a pain .. no-one wants to wait while you set it up etc .. i have to be real quick taking photographs if i'm not alone ... seeing this photograph of yours has inspired me to try and find some bridges .. not to cross but to shoot !!:)
