Thanks everyone for your comments. I've been a bit obsessed with shallow depths of field, so I might take some of the criticism on board and start experimenting with getting more into focus. |

I love Kiwi fruit, but this looks vaguly nauseating. Lots of good color, but I'm not sure I like the choice of DOF. |

Too much of this is out of focus. You probobly couldn't help it with a macro like this, but having more in focus, and one psrticular subject that stands out would help. |

Looks quite out of focus to me and therefore loses the texture. |

I like it, this is great picture to hang at a juice bar place. |

This looks slightly out of focus, and the border is over powering. I do like the lighting though. |

I like the colour of the seeds against the lime green.. a larger DOF would have been better I think |

The nature of the pulp of the fruit makes it difficult i think to see where this comes and goes in terms of focus, and that makes it difficult to see any detail of texture. There is a sense of mushy pulpiness to the image, but that alone is not enough to hold this viewer's eye for very long. |

My mouth's watering right now. Nice macro shot, you can actually "feel" the texture. |

This is a dificult texture subject. The juice reflects light and you can´t reveal the textures. My first try out to this challenge was a apple and a watermellon. Both very bad. I had results like yours. A blured reflected surface. Your subject shows a bit of grains the compose some form of texture, then I will count it. |

The texture is here. The subject and composition lack interest to me. |

Nice idea and composition, but a bit out of focus and i think the reflections distract from the image |

I love the unusual choice of fruit but the DOF is way to limited to most effectively convey the texture. Think I'd have also included more of the hairy peel. |

Lovely colours and idea but IMHO to give more texture the DOF needs to have more in focus back to front. |

lovely colours, a little bit jumbled for my liking though, would prefer a clear centre of attention. |

I like the colors and bet this image would have done well if you could have gotten more of it in focus. (4) |
