Great idea, so simple but not, I mean a simple thing but a complex idea in that I would put a $20 bill on that no one else would have thought this puppy up

a little too dark

Top lit soft edged material, maybe q-tips or something woven, bunched into the more or less centered triangle on the black back has great detail. The hardly noticable depth of field and the sepia add something extra.... well done piece.

you can almost feel the fuzziness...ness...

Interesting shot and angle for the image. Like the low light but it almost seems too little..perhaps a wide spot from another angle would be good?

I like the soft focus that you used for the q-tips. Helps to give you that soft feeling in the cotton. The triangluar compostiion helps to make it dynamic and very interesting. "10"

Good muted photo - a sense of the ominous from it - really good definition on the cotton. well framed, well composed, and beautiful lighting. I must say that I don't understand your title however.

a bit too low lighting to bring out the texture

Great capture of soft! Really like the positioning of the swabs in the frame

This is just too underexposed for me.

Nice tone to this pic. Overall lighting is rather flat and soft. Might have highlighted taller cotton swabs for greater variation, interest. and display of texture.

Interesting idea. A little dark for my likeing.
Composition is good, perhaps a little chopped off on the left i.e. too much black
02/19/2004 12:50:45 AM
I see the texture, but the subject and composition just don't hold my interest.
02/18/2004 08:41:38 PM
it should have been a nice one...nice concept but I think it's too dark...it's good to have a black background for the subject but should have put more emphasis on the subject to make it more visible...i mean give more focus on the subject to make it whitier...

There`s a lot of potential in this shot.....my preference would have been to use stronger lighting to emphasise the textures.,,but even without, it`s a strong subject which works well..

I definitely see the texture you are trying to emphasize but it lacks interest......
02/18/2004 10:26:35 AM
too under exposed

hmm Q-Tips :)

Very nice Photo, like how they all swirl!
