I really like this photo and find it interesting! I would think that it would have more impact if the knot was more to the left or the right of the photo. Then I think that it would have that wow thing. The rule of thirds for this one would work great to me. |

Great wood grain, nicely lit and sharp. I like the composition - it keeps the eye moving around the picture and into the cetral hole in the log. |

However you have acheived this effect the texture is just not of sufficient "strength" for my appreciation |

why would someone request a DQ on this? Focus seems a touch off but nice swirl to it. |

Nice picture, I like the colors. Maybe you could've added a border. |

Good shot. More sharpness would helped a lot |

Interesting pattern, little sense of surface texture. I think you've lost too much fine detail for that reeally to show through. |

Cool lines and texture. It almost appears to be a bit overshapened. |

Seems to be a bit grainy, almost like the brightness/contrast was adjusted a bit too much, or perhaps slightly oversharpened. |

You did justice to this lovely remnant of a fine tree. Wonder if it is a bristlecone pine... Doesn't matter, it's a 10 in my book. |

Definitely texture. Would have been more interesting with a point of focus, such as a small clover or leaf and more interesting lighting. |
