This is very much a unique, creative, and fresh entry! A true Posthumous candidate and properly misunderstood TS image! Faved! |

Beautifully arranged - exceptionally well balanced. The light is perfect for this as well. Very nice work! |

Don't take it too badly - yes, there were a lot of pencil/chopsticks in this challenge, but your's was one of the better takes - the composition is very well done, and I like how the pencils extend past the frame. |

A very creative take on the challenge. Your technicals are right on and the composition works. A very strong image ... well done. |

This is really well composed and has great lighting. You would have scored very, very well if there hadn't been so many other chopstick entries :-) (I almost entered one with chopsticks as well, thinking I might be unique, so don't feel bad!) |

I didn't vote on this challenge, but this is a great idea. (I guess a lot of other people had it also? I didn't have ANY ideas!) I always have a hard time takaing food shots, but you have gotten good DOF and exposure. |

I thought this was the best of all the chopstick shots (by far!)...sad to see it in 25th place. I guess people just got tired of pencils as chopsticks? Very well set up, good colors. A bit more light, especially in that top corner may have been helpful, but as someone else mentioned, you don't want to blow out the details of the rice. Great job though, and congrats on the new PB! :) |

Very nicely done. I particularly like your composition. I think it could use a little more light, but then it might blow out the detail on the rice. Congratulations on another BP. You're really on a roll. |

Congrats, Jeanne! Four challenges in a row with rising scores, and the last two have been personal bests. :)
It was a creative idea, and your layout was very nice. |

This shot is nice and colorful. I like the composition overall but I wish there was more food on the plate. It seems a bit empty. |

Very creative! The food on the place seems a bit soft (looks like you focused on the background). Although the image looks too dark, the rice seems a bit too overexposed on my monitor. I wonder if a different angle (from the top) would have made this a bit stronger of an image. And not sure if the fortune cookie adds anything to the image. Love, love, love the idea! |

Very nice idea and well presented, let down a little by lack of contrast and flat lighting. |

i think the issue here is not that this isn't pleasing, it's that you have to spend more time brainstorming ideas for pencils. i like the picture, but this is, so far, the most common idea for the challenge. 7 |

I really like this shot. Items placed nicely and interesting to the eye. Would like to have seen it without the bamboo background as it tends to be a bit strong. |

Nice, elegant and tasteful! The soft lighting really adds to this exotic image. Nice job with the detail and cropping, too. Cool.. the plate has an optical allusion going on in the corners! |

After seeing the numerous shots of chopsticks I was getting sick of them, however this photo does work well because of the colours and placement of the items. A good still life shot. |
