I knew I'd be seeing needles in this competition! Nicely done but your DOF is a little shallow for my taste and the type of shot that we have here.

Very cool idea! I love the composition but I find the colors to be a bit off (at least it looks so on my monitor). I would have also taken the ring off -- it is a bit distracting.

Your image made me smile and makes me think of my Mom. Not that she uses pencils - lol. I like the lighting and composition. Good entry in the challenge.

Knitting needles in a crochet project! Nice concept, makes me feel like a young kid sitting at my grandma's feet.

Good idea but I think the small DOF and the distracting background will hurt your score.

A levels or curves adjustment would have helped I think. Composition is very nice.
