About that tall building in the background... That's a recently completed extension atop the old Hearst building. I like the new addition, though I've heard others refer to it as "the accordian building." See story and more photos (not mine) HERE.

the way you composed the hearst building it looks more like "delta delta delta" than an accordion. and that makes me think of "delta delta delta can i help ya help ya help ya?" which might be dating me, but whatever.

i think this would be cool in b/w. for me, city shots are always more fun in b/w.

I love that crazy highrise in the back with the cool clouds. Very nice image - great neon and wonderful composition. Did you GO to Jake's Saloon for a drink?

IT has an old fashioned feel yet the harlequin pattern of the building to the right sets it back to a more modern time.

I'm really enjoying the city shots. It's just nice to see an actual city! Very pleasant light to complement the soft blue of the neon.

WOW .. talk about a vibrant sign .. great photograph .. love that blue and the yellow of the other sign in the distance .. love the chains holding the sign up ... excellent moody sky .. love the splashes of red and suggested shapes .. :) .. i have a very dark monitor !!

Beautiful sky!! Love the crisp blue in the neon sign as well. Sorta moody down by the vintage lamp post. Nice image!
