I could have trimmed away the branches if I wanted to but I would have disturbed the nest I would have had to go into out dam to do it as this nest is in a branch overhanging the dam.
I like the shot and felt the branches only added to the reality of it being in the field, scores do not really concern me even though they are nice to have.
