You have used what probably to you is a boring winter scene, the rocks in the bottom got my attention, the ice flow leads me to the bridge, you have used leading lines well, you have a well composed shot, over all very nicely done. Ciao, Gallatin |

I think a shallower DOF may have worked better. Interesting though |

Good photo, I maybe would have tried to get more close up to the ice, but then again I would probably have fallen in. |

The bridge in the background didn't seem to come out very clearly.. but the foreground stuff is great |

This looks like the Cape Cod Canal to me. I have way too many good memories of that area to score this objectively. But, this is a great shot to boot. I like the choices on focus, lighting, and depth of field. Put very simply, I hope you win. - 10 |

Reasonable landscape photo, though a very harsh moment of light that you've chosen. Kind of sense some feel in the rocks, but not so much in the ice. Not much impression of the three-dimensionality of things here - some, but not much. |

One of the best outdoor shots I've seen for this challenge. I like the perspective and the line of rocks in the foreground. Maybe just a touch more contrast. |

Nice lines. Good call on the stones in the foreground. The bridge seems to blend in with the sky and dissapears partly. Exp. problems due to large range in lighting, the foreground is perfect, but the after parts of the shot are too dark. Would be a good chance to try blending two exposures in PS if that would be "legal" here. Good luck. |

Dag, now that is messed up that you live somewhere that cold. I feel you though because I am in Chicago and it has been very cold lately. Nice shot...I am going to put on my coat now...brrrr! |

This is a lovely landscape. But, you know, the Challenge story opf texture is (Iin my opinion) in the foreground. A judicious crop would enhance this very nice image. |

This image might have been better if you somehow could have captured the bridge in the background in better focus. If the camera could not do it then you might have considered eliminating it from the composition all together. I would have liked a closeup of the ice filled river in good focus for this particular challenge. |

+ I love that everything is in focus. Great view on some of nature's textures.
- This photo feels a little empty; I'm missing a subject here. Perhaps you should have come closer to the rocks to bring them more into the eyes of the viewer? |

nice composition. the bridge is missing (blending into the sky - perhaps you need a polarizing filter)..and the far shore to the right is too dark
