With all the political talk in the air, I thought I'd make a political statment.

I hate to say this coz everyone else has already ........ its a bit dark.
But overall the picture has a great impact.
I like the cropping and the off centering of the subject.Gives it an almost candid feel.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I forgot to think about the calibration of everyone's monitor. On my home system i can see just a hint of a person where on another computer only a nose appears.

Anyway, thanks everyone for the comments.

I'm still going through them, but this has to be in the top 3 underrated shots of this challenge. Great shot! Forget the voters!

I think this is a stunning and moving portrait. The one thing I find could be improved, and it's only my opinion, is that the crop could have been brought up, not so much of his chest, and shown a bit more of his head.,,,

interesting. I like how everything melds together. Strong expression on the subject. I wonder what a tad more lighting would be like on a portion of the face/eyes, and shoulder. I wonder if it would bump up the drama a bit more.

This is an amazing shot that I'm sorry to say is probably getting too many comments of it's too dark or no comments at all. I love the minimalism of this while still being able to see the subject. I won't comment on the political statement of the title, but the shot does manage to give the feeling of the title!
Very nice shot! One of my favorites of the challenge!

Excellent work with the lighting & toning. Good balance.
Like the composition and mystic dark portrayal.

One of the two winners of this challenge if I were the judge.

Nice, but A bit too dark on both my monitors! Barely perceptible person.

Freaky! I want to see this wth the lights just a little lighter, to make it pop a bit more, in the very hilights.

If I put my head at an angle to the screen I can just barely make this one out. What was left behind was any sort of a light source.
Sorry, just pulling your leg. A wonderful entry for the Challenge. One of my favorites. 10

I'm not sure what you are saying with this shot. The dimness does not work very well for me.

WOW!
This is incredible, and as I sat up from my slouched position I suddenly saw more, much more. I really hope voters have their monitors well calibrated to see the details of this very subtle image.
On my screen the colour tone seems just a touch greeny but not overpoweringly so.
A beautiful and slightly haunting image.
