 This is what I was going for in my Day 10 picture. It's way easier when you start with a white background.

Taylor really hams it up these days when it comes to taking pictures...

Used the "More sketch than highkey" action found here. Then I used Virtual Photographer on a duplicated layer, custom mode, adjusted film type sliders and effect: soft and adjusted slider. I then created a layer mask and painted black over her face to bring back a bit of definition. A bit of color came through so I just reduced hue/sat to zero. Resize, sharpen, save for web.

The key I think is to start with a picture that isn't close to all white; both the action and filter brighten it quite a bit.

Excellent end result - high key but kept the detail, and excellent detail at that. And high key is perfect for that megawatt smile!

Really beautiful litte girl. I still intend to take a couple of my little darling aged 4 as well. She just loves posing for the camera.

I still need experience in the editing part. Really like what you have done with this photograph.
