Looks like a Great Blue Heron. B&W works very nicely. The backlighting really makes a nice silhouette.

Ohhhhh. . .I LOVE THIS!!! I love it more the more I look at it. I like how it looks kind of grungy and almost harsh. It turns it from a picture of a bird -- to ART!

I love it in B&W. I like how the light chose to spotlight the bird (or you chose your position that way, whichever...). Lovely shot.
