 Last night at Chevy's for HH, waiting for the others. The table was still all empty and freshly washed.

Of course there's some NI involved here, as well as my beloved Lucis (Exposure), some color modifications, this and that...

There's always some weisenheimer who sees me taking the photo, but I do it anyway. As roz pointed out, once I have a DSLR, I won't be able to go around taking photos of people like that - at least not without them protesting. Heh - I think I'll just keep my P&S and use it for candids.

Fabulous bar shot! I'm a sucker for colored light reflections :-) Great tip about using a P&S for candids.

I love the colors in this and all the action of the restaurant. You're right , the P&S is a lot more subtle !

Alicia, this is so cool! Makes me wanna start using my hubby's point and shoot if you can get cool photos like this. I love those colors reflecting in the table -- and just the fact that you "saw" such a cool photo op in this. It is AWESOME!

Yes, a P&S definitely has it's advantages over a honking big dSLR when you're trying to be stealthy. I find it so funny sometimes when I think I'm taking a completely candid shot in a crowd, and I notice later some of the glaring expressions that I've captured. Nice job working in these lighting conditions. I like the reflected glow off the table.

I like the perspective on this - nice color in the reflections on the table. And hey, I use my dSLR for candids. Just keep clickin' - eventually they stop watching you!

and you can get photographs of ppl with the dslr but you've gotta be sneaky !!! ...

I keep a p&s with me almost all the time. There are so many situations where I'm not comfortable hauling out the big ol' dslr, but feel no one will notice if I use my Samsung. Takes pretty good photos, too.
