 Skyline of London shot from a distance of 22 miles (roughly).

Useless info:- One thing I usually wonder about is how sometimes a challenge is announced and within hours there are a number of entries, and me being of a suspicious nature always think some funny business is about. Well this one was the 7th entry into the challenge, I didnt even know the challenge was Distance when I took this, I was just on my way home from work, saw this wonderful sunset over the city and decided to strap on the 17-40 and snap away. Got home, saw the challenge and thought "Wow, thats lucky...", So I guess it is possible to enter a decent shot within hours of the challenge being posted.

Awesome. I took a similar shot recently of a sundown over Texas, but mine did not come out nearly as crisp and clear. Nice job on this. I've added this to my faves list.

The drama in the sky, which is magnificent, rather overwhelms the subtlety of the horizon. Possibly it is the inclusion of that larger blue patch that is tipping the balance. Still an amazing picture.

I think if you had cropped off the top 1/2 of the photo it would have been a more powerfull scene.

I like the picture but don't think it fits the challenge well. I would have had a little less sky and some more land to balance it out.

Wow beautiful sky! Though I think it would have been really cool if you had been able to shoot up into that and title it "How far to the gates of heaven?" or something to that effect.
