Been there, seen that, type shot. A little predictable. Outtake from the lighting challenge. Taken in Cedar Rapids IOWA. 6pm. Stormy weather with a slight clear up in the horizon.

Couple of power poles in the way, oh well. Thought about going B&W with this, but decided against it.

Noise police will probably ding me on this one, so maybe a 5.3. Poles don't help, and those black specs in the horizon are birds. There are a couple of dust bunnies higher in the frame too.

The noise does not really bother me, because that adds to the disturbance of the storm. But the trees catch my eye more than anything else. That to me was a better conveyance of distance.

I like the idea behind your photo. Your image appears grainy to me - unless that's intentional. There's alos some pixelation along the horizon and tree line. I do like the colors of the clouds though.

Lovely location and clouds, however with no light source in the foreground you've all but lost the details (which may have been you intention - not sure).

The idea is good but the lack of detail in the foreground has not helped this photo IMHO.
