This is one of the few covered bridges we saw during our trip to the Covered Bridge Festival. I really like the center picture but also found myself liking the two views from each end of the bridge so I decided on a triptych.

All images were tonemapped and had hue/saturation, levels, and curves adjustments.

Here is the center image on its own

A nice "old time" feel to the series. I like how you can see glimpses of foliage from the top openings on the third one.

Nice idea to put the three shots together. You should do a series of different bridges if there are more in your area. They have so much character, don't they? Reminds me of the movie "The Bridges of Madison County" which I thought would be sappy but ended up loving...and Clint Eastwood plays a Nat'l Geographic photographer.

We dont have any covered bridges in NZ so they are fascinating to me :)The tonemapping on the middle one looks graet

Oooooh. . .I love how you did this as a triptych. That composition is so interesting.

I love bridges. My parents collected pictures of bridges, so I grew up with some amazing bridge paintings and photos from around the world. We have very few covered bridges in Texas, so they especially are very appealing to me.

Great idea for a triptych! That center shot is awesome. I just saw my first covered bridge ever last weekend. It wasn't as cool as this one is though. So dull in fact, I wasn't even inspired to get out and take a picture of it. :)

I agree with the center one. The other two are hard to see clearly. Maybe bigger?

Perhaps it would be nice if the end of the bridge would be on the same height in all photos. Still, it looks great, just if all the light is behind the end of the bridge.

(And yes, you get a lot more comments when you post it).
