She has a great smile. The blue of the denim stands out well. I also like the bit of bench showing behind Nimue.

Thats a beautiful smile.
What Bernard said.. Also if you don't have a speedlight handy, one of the "Other methods" that he mentioned, expose for the sky and then make 2 raw conversions, one at the correct exposure for the sky and one for her and the ground. Mask away and it'll probably turn out nicely. I use that method a lot. remember to expose for the bright part though as you can't get blown highlights back but shadows are fairly easy.

Adorable!

Charlie, I don't know whether or not you own a flash, but here is the sort of place I often find one useful outside. The sky behind her is very bright. If you had exposed for that sky your lovely subject would have been under-exposed. As is, you exposed for your subject and so the sky is a bit blown out. One solution to this problem is to use a flash outside. You could then expose for the sky and take your photo. The flash would help you to light up your subject while exposing for that bright sky. There are other solutions of course... but I just thought that information might be useful to you.

a great smile on a cute kid - you did a nice job of keeping the background separated from her.

great expression on her face. The hair blowing in the wind gives great movement to the shot.

It certainly was breezy, and cool too from the look of the coat. A little move to your left would have eliminated the distracting tree behind her. It's a good snapshot of a happy moment though. You can see the love in her eyes and smile.
