Well you should have Really adjusted your color balance, added more constrast and brightness because with your lighting situation the picture doesn't play out well as its sits now. I would say usually the odd number of things in a picture is good but some how you managed not to make the composition very workable. The black back ground and the bit of sand render the whole of the image defenseless to the camera's scruplous eye sorry but go back to work don't quite your day job. |

Not sure if those specks are sand or not but I have to admit to not being much of a fan of them. The textures of the shells are good, and the lighting is low but enough to give them a mood. The top shell is a little darker than the others and has lost some of its details, but that's just a minor nitpick. |

It's hard to find black scallop shells. Nice composition. I like the little bit of sand, might even have been better to put more in under the edge of the black shell. |
