 This is my first capture of lightening...yeeehaaaa

Ken and I had gone to Washington Park on Thursday and we were pretty excited about taking pictures as we knew storms were coming in. After many long minutes, probably close to 45, I finally caught this burst of lightening. It seemed that the minute I turned to capture lightening where it looked like it was happening the most it would start up in another place and my new place would become a dud!

P.S. Sorry that several of my pictures, including this one, were not taken on the actual day on the month. I got discouraged for a while and I was actually going to stop doing the side challenge. Then I got inspired and decided to try to play catch up. From here on out I plan on keeping on track.

This has a painterly quality to it I like very much. Love the drama and excitement. I'm just waiting to hear the thunder.

I've taken most of my pictures on the wrong days. I don't think anyone really cares. That's not the point. The point is take pictures like this one that show us your world and sharing them with others. Hang in there.

Great shot, awesome cloud formation. Congrats on your first lightning photo (I've only tried a couple of times and don't have one yet). The building adds scale.
