 I wasn't originally going to enter at all this week, but I went up the mountain today and saw this.

I rather like it, but it prolly doesn't have the 'wow' factor for DPC.

Processing: crop, resize, contrast, hue/saturation, sharpen

The subtlety in this apparently simple picture, like unto a Japanese print, is that it is NOT flat at all. To paraphrase posthumousfrom somewhere else, you have to took and look and not quite see.

I think that's what I like about it -- it reminds me of one I considered entering myself, though I ended up in the other challenge. I like the soothing blue shades ...

I love the simplicity of this picture which, IMO, conveys the idea of distance as well as any other in this challenge. The colours are wonderfully peaceful and the light cloud and mist both emphasises how far the mountain top is away and also adds an air of dreaminess that complements the colours brilliantly
