 Here is the uncropped version.

I thought a tighter crop would help my dull sky....editing is not my dtrong point. I would fix the sky ifI had the skills! So, I decided to just crop the sky out of the image.

I also cropped out the road because I wanted it to be on the other side of the image.

stunning colours .. and i love the softness .. love the contrast between the blue hills and the orange leaves on the trees .. :)

Certainly better with the top of the hills/mountains and the sky, even if it is blown out, in my opinion. Difficult to make suggestions/try edits using this size. Perhaps if you could resize it to (at least) 720 width might help. I did try (and am certainly no expert), but it was too small really. I think what Bernard_Marx suggested is a very good idea:
