I took this while waiting in the car between dance lessons. I envisioned I might do intetresting angles on the steering wheel or speedometer or sumthin but my most interesting shot actually eneded up being of a zip from Nimue's tutu!
I used gradient map for the first time! Did'nt really know what I was doing so just had a play. Plus I have added a few new textures I have collected you can find the websites I have used here.
I just want to thank everyone sooo much for their kind comments ,encouragement and sharing of information as a result of this challenege I have learnt an immense amount ( for example before this challenge I had never used layers this photo has about 12 layers!).
here is the original because I like to see the original it gives me an idea of what can be achieved

I know you don't have Halloween, but this is just creepy, in a good way of course!! It's like some strange animal monster face, and that zipper is just popping off the screen. Well done.

Nice abstract. In the thumb this look very spooky and ghost-like. Or like a misshapen animal or something. It's fun playing around with new stuff, isn't it?

Very cool image!! I see a face in this as well...it's an abstract, a zipper, a face, many things. Totally cool effects!

That's pretty cool! It has a very haunting feeling, if a photo of a zipper can have a haunted feeling. :) I love the very shallow DOF.

That's awesome, Charlie! I think that's what this was all about: tryin' new things, and I too have so loved everyone sharing their textures and overlays, and telling each other how everyone got their shots.

You rock, young lady! :)

Nice processing. Interesting shades of blue. Did you try it as B/W?

I love the narrow DOF. The zipper tab has now become some sort of a creature with a weird snout.

This is an excellent result. It has the feel of after-life. Evanescent...
