 The title is from Bob Dylan’s I Am a Lonesome Hobo, in which he sings '...I've served time for everything except begging on the street...'. So the news item is as much in the title reference as it is in the photograph.

lol @ title. It would have been even better if you'd zoomed out a little and shown some passers by and their reactions, telling the story of her desperation even more.

The lighting is really poor on this shot and it doesnt appear to be for any particular reason. Maybe some better contrast would have helped some. Keep on trying though! The more pics you take and enter the better you will get.

For me, I'm not sure how the title relates to the woman panhandling. Her image seems a bit blurred. If that person on the left hand side not been there, it would be easier to focus on the woman.
