 I like the twisted curly stem on this pumpkin that is sitting on my front porch waiting for grandchildren to come and carve it.

The stem is what immediately caught my eye, which I then followed towards the base of the stem, outward on the creases in pumpkin, then back in and around. In other words - great shot!

I adore pumpkins but they usually rot so quickly here since it still gets so warm in the afternoons. I go with the precarved ones these days. You're right - the stem and all the curly ques are very interesting!!

Good detail....did you try upping the saturation and contrast just a bit? Might make it pop more.
