 Taken during the late October full moon with moonset happening at similar time as sunrise. This location is three blocks from our home. The lavender skies were a gift of that specific morning, though we often see such skies in the morning when dawn light is captured in mist rising off the ocean. I shot a few dozen other photos of the full moon over Bird Rocks on the north end of Cannon Beach before this photographer walked down in front of me to begin his morning shoot. I decided finally to enter the silhouetted photographer at sunrise with the morning full moon, rather than the earlier shots of the moon more aglow and the skies even more richly lavender. Hope you enjoy! I'm hoping to score 6+. After 100 challenges, I've only scored above a "6" a few times, and most recently, in several consecutive challenges earlier in October.

Oh, my, you're loosing your touch. Nothing funny about this image. Actually, this is very beautiful to look at, pink moon and all. It looks more than real, the rockface glows so much. Beautiful.

I LOVE the composition and the colors. Without the distracting halo (from sharpening?) along the golden cliff, I would have rated it 10. As it is, it's a wonderful 9.

Wish the moon was in focus, now that you mention it. Nice image with it cropped out even. Like the light on the cliffs.

Has tremendous potential... If the moon just looked a little more natural. I was also at the coast last weekend and tried to figure out how to shoot the setting full moon with the sunrise, it is hard and I came up with nothing to show for my efforts.

the moon looks strange, it looks like a drop of pink yogurt fell on your lens or something. maybe it's the neatimage or blur? nice comp. though

Murre rocks =). Great job of silhouetting the photographer against the crashing wave. Wish the moon could be placed in the upper left rule of third, but I like how the rocks lead up to it. Moon looks a little pinkish to me, but it catches the eye.
