 An exciting clothesline on my backporch! It was here when I moved here 2 years ago and I've never used it, but always liked looking at those old-fashioned clothespins. Too bad the rope is so dirty, but it's so dusty and dry here...everthing's dusty within 2 days of being outside.

I was outside yesterday putting away outdoor furniture, raking leaves and generally getting ready for snow. I looked up and took a few shots of those clothes pins.

I'm pleased with the DOF at least! I don't care for the white rope or the green board in the background, but this is the best I could do yesterday.

Reminds me of living in our first house when we were just married and too broke to afford a dryer. Hanging the clothes on the line was one chore that I didn't mind that much; there was something almost therapeutic in doing it. The clothes sure were stiff and cold in the winter though. :)

if you wait long enough you might get some spiders come and weave their webs on this rope .. then you could take some excellent macros !! :)

LOL try and find a place that does'nt have a clothes line in NZ! YOu obviously call them clothespins we call them pegs and i use them pretty much every day!

I love photos of clothespins. I have no idea why, but for some reason, I'm always drawn to them. These are great. I love all the colors.

Good perspective and composition. I don't find the things you mentioned to be flaws. It all fits well together.

I like that bright splash of sharply focused red in that sea of soft blur too! I haven't seen a clothespin in the longest time. This really takes me back.

You don't see clothes lines here much any more. I always appreciate a nice clothes pin. The colors and DOF are cool.
