 Smokey sunset on October 24th in La Jolla during the southern California firestorm of 2007. I was not directly affected by the fires; many others were less fortunate.

Technical details: mostly automatic settings, but with exposure biased by -1.0 EV. Raw source edited with ufraw (//ufraw.sourceforge.net/) to tweak levels, white balance, and noise-reduction; saved as tiff, then edited with gimp (//www.gimp.org/) to rotate, crop, resize, and sharpen.

7 - Nice sunset. Like your composition. That 'pole' at the bottom keeps distracting me though. Difficult, but if the silhouettes of the trees/leaves were just a little 'bolder'/sharper, make this even stronger in my opinion.
