| Nice texture but the lighting in the foreground distracts--almost looks like flash, whereas the light in the background is dull. To me the tree bark is the star here in the background, such interesting contrast of texture. |

| NICE! I love that you have given a really broad DOF.. it's a huge problem with a lot of shots in this challenge--one you've expertly avoided. I also love your subject matter. This is one of my favourites! |

| Looks like you used your on board flash...the natural light would've look better as in the top half of your photo. |

| Interesting phenomenon, but not very well displayed, I feel: the fill flash on the nearer curls seems overly bright, and glaring off at least one of them, and then the tonality changes as we follow the tree up. No great sense of the texure of the curls either. |

| Interesting perspective. Foreground mass a little distracting, though. Full sun might have brightened the top. |

| Picture seems too bright in the foreground, but i like the light in the background. Makes your eyes go up the picture |

| This is very well seen. It probably would have been interesting to play with different depth of field patterns, especially in the foreground, but it certainly fits the challenge and the colors are gorgeous. |

| looks lke part of it was illuminated with a flash. would be much better if that wasn't so obvious. nice composition |
