 Taken at midnight. It had been raining a lot but suddenly the skies lit up and I went to this frightening place with a good friend of mine (well, it was scary because of all the darkness surrounding us).... We took some pictures for half an hour and then it started raining again.... :o)

Ohmygoodness, Ragga!!! I can't believe this is in 40th place!!! But then, this is one spectacular challenge, so 40th place here is quite an accomplishment. But to have a photo like this in your portfolio has to be a reward in itself. I would KILL to have one!

6 - Really like this and think the darkness is good (although maybe a fraction more detail bottom left might be better) - 'bigger' probably has more detail overall. The main detractor for me in this image is the horizon sloping down to the right.. could be perspective, either way, I think it is important in this image. Beautiful sky.
